1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the Flip Academy for the Classroom educational platform
and associated services when provided to teachers and educational institutions (the "School").

It does not cover the Flip & Floss mobile app or other consumer products. Those products
are governed by the general Flip & Floss Privacy Policy.
2. Our Role and Compliance with Student Privacy Laws
Flip Academy operates as a School Official or Service Provider to the School, processing student
data strictly on behalf of and under the direction of the School.

United States Compliance (FERPA & COPPA): When a School enters into an
agreement with us, the School provides consent on behalf of the parents/guardians for the collection
of student data that is reasonably necessary for the child to participate in the educational activity.
We adhere to the requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regarding the
confidentiality of student education records and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
School Exception.

Canadian Compliance (PIPEDA & Provincial Acts): We adhere to the principles
of fair information practices and data minimization as required by laws such as the Personal Information
Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and provincial laws (e.g., FIPPA). We ensure that
personal information is collected, used, and disclosed only for the purposes agreed upon with the School.

We are committed to collecting the minimum information necessary to provide a safe and enriching
learning experience (Data Minimization).

When a teacher or educational institution registers for an account, we may collect the following:

3.2. Student Data (Anonymized Educational Data Only)
We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from students using our platform.

collected and maintained by the School, and is accessed and used by Flip Academy in an anonymized
and/or pseudonymized manner solely for educational purposes.

This data is de-identified and stripped of all direct and indirect identifiers, meaning
it is not PII protected under FERPA.
4. How We Use Collected Information
We use the collected information only for the following purposes, as agreed upon by the School:
